You get 0 kilojoules from water. It serves as a solvent for solutes in the body, but you do not get energy from it. Look up ‘nutritional analysis of water’.

Energy drinks have a huge effect on the body and shortens life with the more you abuse it. In a recent study someone had died from a liver failure. With intense study they found out there were high amounts of ingredients used in energy drinks left within the liver.

Thank you for this informative video about energy drinks, Paul.
It really helps me and everyone have a clear example of the effects.
Many of my friends drink this everyday, and I don’t think it’s healthy for them..
I’m sticking with water.. gatorade or protein drinks.
Thanks YouthHealth!! Wooh!!

@YouthHealth
For Vitamin B12 it is used for: pernicious anemia, vitamin b12 deficiency, imerslund-grasbeck disease, hyperhomocysteinemia, AMD.
Ineffective for: Circadian Rhythm sleep disorders, Cognitive Function, Stroke.
Hope that helps! I couldn’t go too in depth in the video or else it would be a super long video! I will try to cover these subjects more in depth in other videos. Thanks for watching

@YouthHealth Oh the previous comment was for Vitamin B6.

1. Hereditary Sideroblastic Anemia (Works)
2. Hyperhomocysteinemia (Research shows likely effective)
3. Possibly Effective is: Age-related macular degeneration, kindney stones, PMS, Morning sickness, lung cancer, tardive dyskinesia.
Ineffective: Alzheimers, autism, cognitive function.

@FluXDKronak Thanks for the question! So the whole reason energy drinks incorporate this ingredient is because they believe it enhances mental performance and provide more “kick” like you said. But research shows that it is ineffective for that purpose.
IT IS HOWEVER used for primarily PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome), Vitamin B6 Deficiency, morning sickness in pregnancy, depression, homocystinuria, hyperhomocysteinemia, Alzheimer’s disease.

What do vitamins B6 and B12 actually do and why do they put them in energy drinks? Do they enhance the “kick” so to speak? Thanks for the videos, they’re interesting.
