I use Cytomax not only for cycling but for hiking and airsofting; basically any activity that would need me to be on my legs for a long time.
I’m sure it works as the manufacturer studies results and all but–you, the average cyclist/user, cant really measure the lactic acid build up and the buffering it claims.
Go with what you think works for you. If Accelerade doesn’t sit well in your stomach and tastes horrible, then stick with Cyctomax.
Check in with other cycling forums and ask what the serious riders drink. Good luck

I’ve used both along with several others and what you need to do is go with the one that does not up set your stomach. Stomach upset and how you respond to the different mixes is the reason many try several out, for me neither bothered me but Gu will upset mine. What works best for me is Cytomax and Clif Shots. This same thing goes for Gels some go down fine others not so good, find what works for you and stay with it.

I don’t understand the question. Your system gets along with Cytomax, so use it. Ingredients for both are similar, so there’s no reason to switch.
FWIW, I use Cytomax and Powerbar Endurance, the choice depending on prices when I run out. Both agree with my stomach and allegedly have the same buffering properties.
